
CFL Announces Player Fines

TORONTO - The Canadian Football League announced today that it has fined the following players:
Calgary Stampeders offensive lineman John Gott and Saskatchewan Roughriders defensive lineman Jermaine McElveen were fined for their involvement in an altercation after the whistle in last Friday night's game. Stampeders linebacker Juwan Simpson was fined for a dangerous tackle on Roughriders receiver Weston Dressler.
Edmonton Eskimos offensive lineman Cliff Louis was fined for a dangerous block on Hamilton Tiger-Cats defensive lineman Eric Norwood during last Sunday's game.
As per league policy, the amounts of the fines are not disclosed.
