
CFL announces committee chairs for 2006

Winnipeg, Manitoba (June 13, 2006) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the appointment of its 2006 Committee Chairs adding one new important group to the roster. The Committees and Chairs are as follows:
Executive Committee: Gene Dunn - Winnipeg Blue Bombers
Presidents' Council: Rick LeLacheur - Edmonton Eskimos
Marketing & Broadcast Committee: Keith Pelley - Toronto Argonauts
Audit & Finance Committee: Rick LeLacheur - Edmonton Eskimos
Competition Committee: Bob Ackles - BC Lions
Player Relations Committee: Hugh Campbell - Edmonton Eskimos
Rules Committee: Tom Wright - Commissioner
Franchise Committee:
Commissioner Wright introduced the new Franchise Committee that is charged with the process of leading League expansion through a return to Ottawa and to a new 10th market. Committee membership includes Bob Young, Howard Sokolowski, Ted Hellard and Commissioner Wright. Stu Laird, President of the Canadian Football League Players' Association will also be an ex-officio member of the Committee.
