
CFL and team ownership meet on Ottawa Renegades

TORONTO, ON - March 20, 2006 - The Canadian Football League (CFL) confirmed today that CFL Commissioner Tom Wright and Ottawa Renegades' owners Bernard Glieberman and William Smith met earlier this afternoon to discuss the ownership and operation of the Ottawa Renegades. Significant progress was achieved in establishing clarity and identifying options for 2006 and beyond. All parties agreed that in the best interests of the process, no further comment will be issued until the matter has been presented and reviewed by the CFL's Board of Governors.
Commissioner Wright confirmed that the Board of Governors will meet by conference call this week.
