Central Valley Coyotes News Release

(Fresno, CA) -The Central Valley Coyotes will open their 2007 season at home on April 7, 2007 against the Everett Hawks. Returning from their best season ever! After going 12-4 and appearing in the af2 playoffs for the first time in franchise history, the Coyotes will be looking to take the next step with a division title.

The Coyotes home schedule includes two games against the Bakersfield Blitz as the "Battle for 99" continues. Despite losing to the Blitz in the opening round of the 2006 playoffs the Coyotes have beaten their "Highway 99 Rival" 6 of their last 8 meetings. The "Battle for 99" will take on renewed meaning in 2007! Also, coming to Selland Arena will be the 2006 Arena Cup Champions, the Spokane Shock, the revamped Everett Hawks and Western Division newcomers the Boise Burn and a team from Tri-Cities (yet to be nicknamed) Washington. Former Coyote Defensive Coordinator and new Stockton Lightning Head Coach Doug Murray brings his team to Selland Arena as they try to avenge getting "swept" in all three games by the Coyotes in 2006.

The Coyotes home schedule includes these dates and opponents:

April 7th Everett Hawks
April 21st Tri-Cities
April 28th Bakersfield Blitz
May 12th Boise Burn
June 9th Lubbock
June 30th Spokane Shock
July 7th Stockton Lightning

All home games will be played at Selland Arena with a kick off time of 7:00 PM.
