The Amarillo Dillas found themselves the beneficiaries of some timely hitting and lots of sloppy defense by the Jackson Senators, who lost to the Dillas 4-3. The Senators collected three runs on four hits in the first inning to establish themselves in the driver's seat, where they remained for most of the game. But the Dillas' fortunes turned in the seventh, when the Sens committed errors on three consecutive plays, allowing the Dillas to score the tying three runs in the process. With all the momentum on the Dillas' side, Dan Meier doubled home Trent Otis in the ninth to take the lead. Marcos Castillo pitched eight innings, giving up just those initial three runs in the first one eight hits overall. He earned his first win of the season.
