Centomo Delivers Game One for Bucks, 3-2

(Odessa, TX) - Sebastien Centomo made 38 saves in net for Laredo and held Odessa scoreless on seven power play opportunities as Darryl Smith's overtime winner gave the Bucks a 3-2 win and a 1-0 series lead in the Conference Semifinals.

Smith ripped a slap shot from the top of the left circle that crept just inside the top right corner to give Laredo the overtime win. The Jackalopes forced overtime with two goals in the first four minutes of the third period. Collin Circelli slipped one past Centomo :41 into the period to put Odessa on the board. Dave Van Drunen tied the game at 2-2 just 2:13 later poking home a rebound on assists from Kenny Bernard and Dominic Leveille.

Laredo built their original 2-0 lead with first and second period power play goals. Darryl Smith opened up the game's scoring with just eight seconds remaining in period one and Bobby Russell made it a 2-0 lead with a power play goal of his own at 12:48 of the second period.

Alexandre Vincent made 23 saves in net for Odessa, who outshot Laredo 40-26 in the game.

Game two this Conference Semifinals series will take place tomorrow night at the Ector County Coliseum at 7:05 PM. The action can be heard on 97 Gold and online on the CHL Network.
