Cedar Rapids River Kings News Release

The Titans new ownership, led by Roy Choi and Matt Stone, has announced the hiring of Ryan Eucker as the team's General Manager in preparation for the 2019 IFL season.

Eucker joins the Titans after a two-season absence from the Indoor Football League while serving as the Vice President of Ticket Sales of the Normal CornBelters professional baseball team of the independent Frontier League in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois.

"It's exciting to be back," said Eucker. "I'm a football guy at heart and always knew that I'd end up back in the game at some point in my future. It's particularly exciting to return to the IFL and have the opportunity to work with a league that is stacked with great ownership groups and front office staff embedded in a number of great communities around the country."

Prior to Normal, Ryan began his career in sports with the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League in 2011 and then oversaw the team's re-branding to the Empire as they transitioned to the Indoor Football League for the 2016 season.

In Spokane, Ryan started in ticket sales and went on to serve in various roles including overseeing the teams marketing, communications, and football operations before taking on the General Manager position in his final three seasons (2015-17).

At the end of the 2016 IFL season, Ryan was named the IFL Executive of the Year and the Empire received the distinction of the league's best social media presence as Spokane capped off their first year with an Intense Conference Championship appearance and 12-4 regular season record. In 2017, the Empire was named the league's best media relations.

Now, Ryan teams up with the new ownership of the Titans that looks to restore the franchise back to their winning ways while creating a community and fan-centered organization in Cedar Rapids.

"I'm grateful for the opportunity Roy and Matt have presented to me and am looking forward to getting to Cedar Rapids in the next few weeks," said Eucker. "Our goals are pretty simple. We want to put a competitive team on the field, provide a high-quality sports entertainment experience at the U.S. Cellular Center for our fans, and get our focus back on the community that supports us."

In the coming weeks, the Titans will look to solidify their coaching staff for the 2019 season with the IFL's restricted free agency period approaching this fall. The team will also be announcing meet and greet opportunities over the next few weeks to provide fans the chance to sit down with Ryan and provide their insight on the past, and future, actions of the organization ranging from their game day experiences to some major decisions coming down the road. For details on the meet and greets, follow the Titans on Facebook.
