CCHA freshman duo named first team all-conference

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The US National Team Development Program placed five former players on the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) First and Second Team All-Conference squads as NTDP alum T.J. Hensick (Michigan) and A.J. Thelen (Michigan State) became just the second freshman duo to be named to the CCHA First Team All-Conference.

Hensick and Thelen, both recently named to the CCHA All-Rookie Team, are joined on the CCHA-All Conference squad by a pair of Notre Dame players and NTDP alumni, forward Rob Globke (Second Team) and defenseman Brett Lebda (Second Team) along with former National Team and current University of Michigan goaltender Al Montoya (Second Team).

Three additional players, with ties to the NTDP, received votes in the CCHA All-Conference selection process. Corey Potter, Michigan State, David Steckel, Ohio State and Neil Komadoski, Notre Dame each picked up tallies toward the All-Conference Team.
