CBMF/Island Storm Island Idol Contest into Quarterfinals

(Charlottetown, PE) Over the past three months Island STORM fans have enjoyed listening to young Prince Edward Island music talent at halftime during home games in the Lotto Max Presents Cavendish Beach Music Festival/Island STORM Island Idol Contest. And now this contest is into the quarterfinals.

The first quarterfinal was held this past Saturday and STORM Fans voted for Kenzie Whalen to move on into the semifinals. This coming Monday afternoon at the STORMS annual Islander Day Game the second quarterfinal will see Kyle Sherren along with Taylor Sonier and Kendal Paugh perform to see who moves on. The next quarterfinal will take place Thursday February 19th as Bridgette Blanchard and Darcy Ellis perform while the last quarterfinal goes Sunday February 22 with Marshall McIsaac and the duo Breakwater performing at halftime.

The semifinals of the Island Idol contest at STORM games will take place on Thursday February 26th and during the STORMS first home playoff game which will be announced later in the month. The finals will take place during the STORMS second playoff game.

Fans vote for the winner each game by placing their ticket stub in the ballot box of which performer they think should move on.

The winner of the Cavendish Beach Music Festival/Island STORM Island Idol contest will get an opportunity to perform on the Kitchen Stage this summer during the popular and very successful Cavendish Beach Music Festival.
