
Cats take first game 5-3

Moncton Wildcats News Release
The Moncton Wildcats have taken a one game lead in their best of seven series with the Drummondville Voltigeurs with a 5-3 victory on Friday night.
Moncton lead 2-1 after the first period, 4-2 after 40 minutes and exchanged goals with Drummondville in the final frame.
Scoring for the Wildcats were Simon Jodoin, Nicolas Deschamps, Gabriel Bourque, Alex Saulnier and Scott Brannon. Sean Couturier had a pair for Drummonville with Remi Blanchard scoring the only power play goal of the game late in the third period.
Shots on goal were 37-28 in favor of the Volts, on the power play, the Wildcats went 0 for 7 while Drummondville were 1 for 6.
Game two of the series will be played on Sunday afternoon at 5 local time at the Marcel Dionne Centre, follow the action on News 91.9 and the Telus webcast.
