New Britain Rock Cats News Release
NEW BRITAIN, CT - Minnesota Twins Senior Vice President and General Manager Bill Smith, left, treated his family to lunch in Farmington on Friday, Janunary 16th at the New Britain Rock Cats eighth annual Hot Stove Luncheon.
New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats, Connecticut's oldest continuously-operating professional sports franchise, announced a new partnership with WTIC AM and WTIC FM to broadcast all 142-games in the 2009 Season.
Effective immediately, the Eastern League club's games will air on 96.5 WTIC FM's HD2 channel and will be streamed online at www.wtic.com. Ten games will be carried live on the 50,000-watt powerhouse, WTIC NewsTalk 1080.

And with more snow and sub-freezing temperatures in the forecast, the New Britain Rock Cats are attempting to create their own little heat wave by offering fans, friends, families, and couples of all ages, a unique Valentine's Day gift option.
Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN - The Minnesota Twins announced on January 14th that they have extended spring training invites to 15 players who are not on the Major League roster.
Several recent Rock Cats were included on this list of players, including closer Ben Julianel, 3rd baseman Danny Valencia, outfielder Dustin Martin, and many others.
