Cats fall to Junior Blues

The Wildcats played two games on the road against the Springfield Junior Blues over the weekend and fell in both games. On Friday night they dropped a close game 4-3, and on Saturday they were defeated 6-2.

The Wildcats played a hard game against the Junior Blues on Friday night, and despite leading 3-2 late in the third period, they could not manage the win. The Junior Blues scored the final two goals of the game to come back and defeat the Wildcats. Chris Ochoa led the Wildcats with two goals scored in the game, while Peter Zamkochyan added a goal for the Cats. Nicholas Ghidina, Dan Sexton, and Adam Cardwell each added an assist for the Wildcats. Thomas Billick was in net for the Wildcats and he was handed his first loss of the season.

The Wildcats fell 6-2 to the Junior Blues on Saturday night. Dan Sexton led the Wildcats with a goal and an assist for the Wildcats, while Skylur Jameson scored a goal, and Sean Nealon added an assist.

The Cats will be in action this week at the Minnesota Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota. They will be playing four games in the tournament, with their first against the Mahoning Valley Phantoms scheduled for Wednesday, October 19th at 3:30 pm.
