
Catfish Announce First Homestand Promotions

The Columbus Catfish defense of their 2007 South Atlantic League Championship begins this Thursday at Golden Park with a four game homestand against the Savannah Sand Gnats, affiliate of the New York Mets. Here are the promotions scheduled for this weekend's games.
- Thursday, April 3 vs. Savannah Sand Gnats, 7 p.m. - Knology Opening Night - Knology customers can show their bill at the gate and receive $5 admission for their entire family. Opening Night is also a Night of Champions featuring the raising of the 2007 South Atlantic League Championship flag. 2007 - 2008 high school state champions from Columbus and Phenix City have been invited to the game and will be recognized for their accomplishments. As always, Thursday Night is also Thirsty Thursday and College Night, where hot dogs, soda, and beer are only $1 and college students receive $1 admission when they show their college ID.
- Friday, April 4 vs. Savannah Sand Gnats, 7 p.m. - Wiffle Ball & Bat Set Night - the first 500 children under the age of 18 receive a B.J. Upton wiffle ball and bat set. Fridays this season will also feature Fox 54/Sunny 100 Family Fun Packs. Families of four can purchase four general admission tickets, four sodas, four hot dogs and a souvenir program all for only $25.
- Saturday, April 5 vs. Savannah Sand Gnats, 7 p.m. - Wiffle Ball & Bat Set Night - the first 500 children under the age of 18 receive a B.J. Upton wiffle ball and bat set. Fox 54/Sunny 100 Family Fun Packs are available for purchase for all Saturday games and after the game kids may run the bases courtesy of Dick's Sporting Goods.
- Sunday, April 6 vs. Savannah Sand Gnats, 2 p.m. - 35th Anniversary of the Designated Hitter - promotions through out the game will be themed around the designated hitter, including questions on the history of the DH and prizes to be awarded based on the performance of the DH. This season, Sundays also offer Arby's Kids Eat Free, where every child 12 and under that purchases a youth ticket at the ticket windows receives a coupon good for a free hot dog, chips, and soft drink at the concession stands. Kids will also have the opportunity to run the bases after the game, courtesy of Dick's Sporting Goods.
