JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (July 22, 2015) - Jacksonville Armada FC midfielder Jaime Castrillón was named to the North American Soccer League Team of the Week on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old from Puerto Nare, Colombia, tallied his first NASL assist on Tommy Krizanovic's game-winning goal in the Armada's 1-0 win over Spring Season champions New York Cosmos last Saturday evening at Community First Park. He won a 50-50 ball from Lucas Scaglia on a header and placed it in a perfect spot for Krizanovic to tap it into the back of the net. The goal also helped end the Cosmos' 11-match unbeaten streak.

A former member of the Colombian national team from 2004-07 with 29 caps to his credit, Castrillón was Jacksonville's fourth-ever signing, coming to the club after spending two seasons with Major League Soccer's Colorado Rapids.

It is the seventh time this year an Armada player has been named to the Team of the Week. Pascal Millien, who will be returning to the club this week after a tour of international duty with the Haitian national team at the CONCACAF Gold Cup, was the last player to be named to Team of the Week, earning that honor in the Spring Season's 11th week.

The Armada will return to action at 7:30 p.m. next Friday, July 31 to host Minnesota United FC at Community First Park. Tickets, starting at $10, can be purchased by calling 1.844.2.Armada or visiting armadafc.com.
