Casper, WY - The San Diego Chicken will be coming to the Mike Lansing Field on Tuesday, August 1 when the Casper Rockies take on the Ogden Raptors.
The San Diego Chicken, also commonly known as The Famous Chicken, has reached icon status as a sports and entertainment personality around the country and will be entertaining Casper fans prior to and during the Rockies game.
He has been named the #1 mascot in all of sports by USA Today. The Famous Chicken has been touring since March of 1974 thrilling hundreds of thousands of fans in all fifty states, seven Canadian Provinces and eight countries.
"We last had the Chicken in 2004 and we are happy to have him back again this season," said Casper Rockies General Manager Danny Tetzlaff. "We are excited to have him back in Casper and for our fans to be able to see thrills and excitement of the San Diego Chicken live."
