Casper, Wyo. - The Casper Rockies Professional Baseball Club announced today the hiring of their new Director of Broadcasting. The team appointed Josh Berndt to fill the position with the team's new flagship station, ESPN Radio - AM 1230 - KVOC.

"We are all looking forward to having Josh call the Casper Rockies games this season," said Aaron McCreight, the Casper Rockies Assistant General Manager. "Having spent the past three years behind the microphone in Cody, Josh will be a great fit in the Casper sports scene. We couldn't be happier that Josh and his family decided to call Casper home."

Berndt, a native of Mesa, Arizona, comes to the Rockies after a three- year stint as the Sports Director for the Big Horn Radio Network in Cody, Wyoming. "I'm thrilled to be a part of the Casper Rockies organization," Berndt said. "I am grateful that they have given me a chance to better myself as a broadcaster. I look forward to being a part of the Rockies fifth anniversary this season."

The Casper Rockies will be celebrating their fifth anniversary season in 2005 at Mike Lansing Field. Season ticket packages are now on sale. Contact the Casper Rockies office at (307) 232-1111 for ordering information.
