
Casper Rockies announce 2006 schedule

Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies Professional Baseball Club, in conjunction with the Pioneer League, has released its 2005 schedule. The Colorado Rockies Pioneer League affiliate will open their 6th season at home Tuesday, June 20th at Mike Lansing Field, as they welcome the Idaho Falls Chukars to town for a four-game series. This is followed by a three-game set against the 2005 Pioneer League Champions, the Orem Owlz. The Rockies will then head to Idaho Falls, ID and then on to Ogden, UT for their first road trip of the season.
"We are excited about this season's schedule," Danny Tetzlaff, Casper Rockies General Manager said. "We open the season at home for the second year in a row, so fans will have the opportunity to see a game right away. Although a complete promotional calendar will be released at a later date, we look forward to having our outstanding fireworks shows and much more to provide affordable family-fun at Lansing Field. With this schedule, fans from across all of Wyoming will have a great opportunity to come see the Rockies."
All Pioneer League franchises and affiliations remain the same for the 2006 season.
