Casper, WY - The Casper Ghosts release their 2008 Promotional calendar. The new lineup features even more excitement, highlighted by 4 "spooktacular" fireworks shows, the Famous San Diego Chicken, Tim Ray Bobble Belly Night and Pepsi's Full Size Baseball bat giveaway.
The Ghosts kick off the season on Friday, June 20th against the Idaho Falls Chukars. All fans in attendance will receive a Ghosts 2008 Schedule Magnet presented by Papa Johns and the first 500 fans will receive Opening Day T-shirts courtesy of WYO Central Federal Credit Union.
The Post-Game Spooktacular Fireworks Shows begin on Saturday, June 21st. The world renowned shows will also light up Mike Lansing Field on August 1st, August 15th and on Fan Appreciation night September 5th.
During the first home stand the Ghosts would like to thank the community for their support over the past 8 seasons by having Community Night at Mike Lansing Field. This night will take place on June 24th and admission is free to the entire community.
Come celebrate our independence during our 4th of July Extravaganza which is always a favorite for all fans. On July 5th the Ghosts and Pepsi would like to offer the first 500 fans through the gate a full size baseball bat. This premier promotion is a first of its kind at Lansing Field and should make for a great experience for all.
The Ghosts continue the tricks and treats with Rocktoberfest on July 17th when the team celebrates the Rockies run to the World Series with a brew fest presented by New Belgium Brewery. The Famous San Diego Chicken will grace his presence on July 18th. The Chicken always provides one of the most unforgettable nights of the year.
Fans will be treated to a pair of bobble giveaways which featured the beloved Tim Ray as well as Casper's own Tom Browning. The first 1,000 fans through the gates on each of these nights will receive a hand crafted, hand carved seven-inch ceramic Bobble figurine replica of the well known Casper duo. Tim Ray goes first with a Tim Ray Bobble Belly figurine, presented by Josh Kalinowski on Saturday July 19th.
The Bobble series continues on August 14th, when the Ghosts welcome Tom Browning back to Casper for Tom Browning Night where fans will be treated with bobble heads as they enter the park, presented by Big Wyoming. 2008 marks the 20th Anniversary of Tom Browning's perfect game, so on this night the Ghosts will honor this feat that very few have accomplished.
The Ghosts will treat the crowd to a pair of Hat Giveaways, sponsored by AIM Corp on July 31st as well as Bresnan Communications on August 28th. Big Wyoming gets in on the summer spirit by giving a Baseball to the first one thousand fans through the gates to the August 2nd showdown against the Ogden Raptors.
Family Fun Packs hit the Casper diamond in 2008. Don't miss the action on June 25th, July 22nd, August 5th and August 20th when the Ghosts will offer packages including 4 tickets, 4 sodas, 4 movie tickets, 4 bowling passes, 4 rounds of miniature golf, 4 roller-skating passes and a souvenir program for only $45 ($160 value).
Several weekly promotional nights will show off the best food, music and local talent that Wyoming has to offer. Some of these themes include Western Medical Wristband Mondays, Fat Tuesdays, Guaranteed Win Wednesdays, Thirsty Thursdays, and Star Tribune Family Sundays.
Other specialty events include a Jersey Auction (June 21st) benefiting the American Cancer Society, a Faith Night (August 17th) and University of Wyoming Night (September 4th).
Hobart will once again join the Ghosts staff as the team's mascot and is looking forward to entertaining all during the 2008 campaign!
