Casper Ghosts part of CNBC's Minor League Baseball Logo Contest

Casper Ghosts News Release
The Casper Ghosts Baseball Club has been selected as one of the contestants in the second annual CNBC.com Minor League Baseball Logo Contest. The winner will be crowned as the Best Minor League Baseball Logo in the country. Darren Rovell, host of CNBC's Sports Biz with Darren Rovell, has picked his top 64 teams and logos, seeded them, and created a bracket. There will be five match ups a day to vote on, with voting wrapping up on Monday, March 31. Voting was opened to the public on Monday, March 10th, on the Sports Biz webpage on CNBC.com.
The Casper Ghosts were originally the #16 seed in their bracket, and on the first day of voting, they pulled a major upset by defeating the #1 seed Montgomery Biscuits. Then on Tuesday, March 18th, the Ghosts beat the #9 seed Lansing Lugnuts.
The next round will pit the Ghosts against the #12 seed Augusta GreenJackets. Augusta has knocked off the #5 seed Lake Elsinore Storm and the Northwest Arkansas Naturals on their way to the match up against the Ghosts. Voting for the Casper Ghost's third round match up is believed to be from 9:00 AM EST, Monday, March 24th to 9:00 AM EST, Tuesday, March 25th. Stay tuned to the Ghosts Website for more information.

The 2008 season will be the first for the Casper club under the Ghosts moniker after seven years as the Casper Rockies. Public opinion has been very favorable and the Ghosts look forward to having a successful season. The Casper Ghosts 2008 Home Opener is Friday, June 20th, 2008 versus the Idaho Falls Chukars at 7:05 MST. The six-game home stand winds down on Wednesday, June 25, after three games with Idaho Falls and three games with the Orem Owlz
