Johnstown Tomahawks News Release
JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown Tomahawks and the North American Hockey League announced Tuesday that forward Carson Brière has been named Forward of the Month after an exceptional November.
The Philadelphia native compiled eight goals and 10 assists in 10 games played in the month of November. During that stretch, Brière earned seven multi-point games as the Tomahawks went 10-0-0 to boost their winning streak to 17 games.
Moreover, Brière proved to be a clutch performer as he picked up three game-winning goals in November.
"We had a really heavy month in November with 10 games, and we were fortunate to get all 10 wins," head coach Mike Letizia said. "One of the biggest reasons was Carson's play. With 18 points on the month, he was an offensive force for us. Additionally, his three game-winners were extremely key."
"He has the ability to create plays every time he is on the ice because he is so creative with the puck and he has such a high offensive IQ. Carson has rightfully drawn plenty of Division I interest this season and I couldn't be prouder of him for the month he had in November to help our team win hockey games."
Johnstown continues its early December road trip when they skate into Jamestown, NY to face the Rebels on Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:05 p.m.
The Hawks return to 1st Summit Arena on Friday, Dec. 14 for a 7:30 p.m. tilt with New Jersey. Fans will receive a souvenir beanie cap while supplies last. Saturday night is the traditional Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear or other stuffed animals to the game to toss onto the ice after the Tomahawks score their first goal. Faceoff on Saturday, Dec. 15 is set for 7 p.m.
