Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
SHREVEPORT, La. - Rest assured, the Shreveport-Bossier Captains 2010 pocket schedule will still be available throughout the area in the usual banks, stores, restaurants, and of course at Fair Grounds Field. But on Friday, fans wishing to keep track of the Captains games and get a look at some of the top promotions for the upcoming season can turn to their Shreveport Times to get a copy of the pocket schedule.
The 2010 pocket schedule will be available on the front of delivered papers throughout the area as well as those on racks throughout the Ark-La-Tex.
"When Mark Millsap and Cory Shepherd from the Times asked me about this idea, I thought it was a no-brainer," Captains VP/General Manager Craig Brasfield said. "To partner with a name like the Times and be able to get our schedules out to their circulations is a great way to educate the people in our community about the upcoming season."
The Captains' full promotional calendar will be released in the coming days.
The Shreveport-Bossier Captains open the 2010 season in Fort Worth on May 13, and will be on the road for the first series of the year. The home opener is a day-night doubleheader against Pensacola on Tuesday May 18. All games will be broadcast on ESPN Radio, KRMD-1340 AM as well as streaming live on supertalk1340.com. For information on tickets, promotions, advertising, and other opportunities with the Captains, check out the team's Web site at www.sbcaptains.com, or call the Fair Grounds Field office at (318) 636-5555.
