Capitals assign Sloan to Hershey

HERSHEY - The HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Washington Capitals that defenseman Tyler Sloan has been assigned by the NHL club. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.

Sloan, 27, returns to HERSHEY where he has skated in seven games this season and recorded four assists. He has played in 24 games for Washington this season, and scored his first NHL goal October 25 at Dallas. Sloan is expected to be available when the BEARS play the Providence Bruins Friday in New England.

The BEARS are in Providence to face the Bruins Friday night at Dunkin Donuts Center. Face-off is at 7:05 p.m. HERSHEY continues the New England swing Saturday with a game in Hartford against the Wolf Pack and a date with Worcester Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m. HERSHEY'S next home game is Friday, January 9 when the Houston Aeros visit GIANT Center for the first time.
