
Capital City to Host Long Island in NBA G League Playoffs

WASHINGTON, D.C. -The Capital City Go-Go, the NBA G League affiliate of the Washington Wizards, earned the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference and will take on the fifth-seed Long Island Nets to open the NBA G League Playoffs at the Entertainment & Sports Arena. The team will be making their third-straight postseason appearance starting tomorrow on Tuesday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m.
The Go-Go finished the regular season with four straight wins and a 20-14 record, tied for the seventh-best in the NBA G League. With 29 combined wins in the Showcase and regular season, the Go-Go set a new franchise record for wins in a season under first year head coach Cody Toppert. The previous record of 28 wins in a season was set during the 2021-22 season and tied during the 2022-23 season.
The Go-Go have made a postseason appearance every season under General Manager Amber Nichols since she took over the role in 2021. Additionally, the Go-Go have secured a fourth or higher seed in the East each year during that time frame.
