
Canucks Sign Brad Moran

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have signed centre Brad Moran to a new National Hockey League contract.
Moran, 27, appeared in 18 games last season with Langnau of the Swiss Elite League in Europe. In that time, the Abbotsford, B.C. native scored four goals and four assists for eight points and 18 penalty minutes.
Moran has played in 334 career games over five seasons with the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. In that time, he has scored 98 goals and 143 assists for 241 points and 217 penalty minutes. His best season with the Crunch came in 2004-05 when he scored 26 goals and 46 assists for 72 points and 70 penalty minutes in 80 games. In 22 career post-season games in Syracuse, Moran has scored 13 goals and 15 assists for 28 points and six penalty minutes.
Moran has also appeared in five career games in the NHL - all with the Columbus Blue Jackets - where he scored a goal and an assist for two points and two penalty minutes.
Moran was originally Buffalo's seventh round choice, 191st overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
