Canton-Huntington Review Shifts To Competition Committee
Published on May 10, 2006 under American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) News Release
CANTON, Ohio - The American Indoor Football League's competition committee will hear the review of the Canton Legends - Huntington Heroes game, President Andrew G. Haines and Executive Director Gary Tufford announced Wednesday.
Both teams have presented their case to the league's executive committee, which has referred the issue to the competition committee, which consists of Tufford, Richmond Bandits owner Shujaa Salters and Rome Renegades Coach/Owner David Humphreys.
"I don't think we're dragging this out, I know we're doing things the right way," Haines said. "The results will have an incredible impact on the northern conference playoff picture, so we have to insure a proper procedure is being followed. And I think it's good that the people hearing this are from the southern conference instead of the north."
Until a ruling is made, this week's northern conference player of the week award is on hold, as are the statistical updates for the game.
