AIFL names players of the week

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The American Indoor Football League Southern Conference players of the week for week 11 are as follows:

OFFENSE: Brandon Isaiah, Richmond Bandits. Tied a league record with five rushing touchdowns as the Richmond Bandits downed the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers 63-24.

DEFENSE: Nygel Rogers, Florence Phantoms. Registered three fourth-quarter interceptions as the Phantoms downed the Daytona Beach Thunder 57-54.

LINEMAN: Reggie Giles, Rome Renegades. Continued a solid season and gave up no sacks on Marcus Brady as the Renegades beat the Raleigh Rebels 56-43 to maintain the league's best record.

SPECIAL TEAMS: Andy Eminger, Daytona Beach Thunder. Set a league record with four field goals and tied another with 18 points scored in the Thunder's loss to Florence.

The Northern Conference players of the week will be announced once the Canton Legends - Huntington Heroes game has been reviewed by the league's competition committee. Statistical updates are also on hold.
