CANNONS VS. DENVER IN 2009: In the first match-up between these two teams in 2009, the Cannons were defeated by Denver, 15-14, in a hard-fought match-up at Harvard Stadium on May 22. Attackman Ryan Boyle led the Cannons with three goals and one assist in his debut game with the team.
CANNONS' LAST GAME (JUNE 25 VS. TORONTO): The Cannons earned their third consecutive win as they defeated the Toronto Nationals, 19-15, at Harvard Stadium on June 25. Attackman Sean Morris, a native of Marshfield, Massachusetts, earned the game's Bud Light MVP award for his seven point effort, including four goals and three assists. With his seven-point night, Morris also took over the Cannons scoring lead with 28 points (14G, 14A) so far this season. Cannons goalie Mike Levin had a stellar game, making 18 saves on the 32 shots he faced to earn his fourth win of the season and the MLL's Defensive Player of the Week honor. Downing, now wearing a Cannons uniform, has scored four points in each of his last three games...Rookie midfielder Brandon Corp posted a career-high five points (4G, 1A) on June 25 against the Toronto Nationals...Each of the Cannons' three losses this season have been decided by just one goal.
