
Canadian Premier League Announces Inaugural Match for 2019 Season

Toronto, ON - - The Canadian Premier League (CPL) is pleased to announce that Forge FC will host York9 FC at Tim Hortons Field in the CPL's inaugural match Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m.
"We are beyond excited to kick-off our first season in Hamilton on April 27th," said David Clanachan, Commissioner, Canadian Premier League. "Canadians have been waiting for what seems like forever for their own sanctioned professional league with clubs playing coast to coast. There is no doubt that I share that level of excitement."
For over a year the Canadian Premier League has been focused on creating a solid foundation that will help grow the game and give fans and players a place to direct their passion for soccer. On April 27th the CPL will bring professional soccer to communities across our great country for the first time.
