Canadian Football League to Host European Player Draft

TORONTO - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced that a one-round European player draft will take place on Thursday, April 11. CFL teams will be able to draft any of the 18 European players that participated in the CFL Combine presented by New Era in March.
Following a weighted draft with all nine CFL clubs, the draft order for the European player draft is as follows:

This marks the second draft the CFL has conducted in 2019 involving 'global' players, the first taking place in Mexico on January 14.

The 2019 CFL Draft takes place on May 2, followed by training camps which are set to open on May 19. The 2019 season begins on June 13 when the Saskatchewan Roughriders face off against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. The 107th Grey Cup presented by Shaw will be played at McMahon Stadium in Calgary on Sunday, November 24.
