Canada, Finland Win at IIHF U18 World Championship Pre-Tournament Camp

MINNEAPOLIS - The Canadian National Under-18 Team topped Slovakia, 5-2, at Ridder Arena here tonight in the final pre-tournament game prior to the 2009 International Ice Hockey Federation World Under-18 Championship, April 9-19, in Fargo, N.D. and Moorhead, Minn.

Slovakia grabbed the early lead, scoring twice in the game's opening 1:33.

Canada answered with five straight goals, including two power-play goals within 44 seconds in the second stanza. Canada outshot Slovakia, 40-20 in the win.
