Quebec 13, Newark 4
The Quebec Capitales exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the fourth inning and never looked back to beat the Newark Bears 13-4.
The team totaled 18 hits on the day with six batters tallying two or more hits apiece. DH Rene Leveret led the team, going 2-3 with a walk. He homered and drove in four runs, while scoring two.
Starting pitcher Bryan Rembisz threw six innings and gave up four runs (three earned) while striking out one to pick up his second win of the season.
Trois-Rivieres Aigles 3, Rockland Boulders 1
The Rockland Boulders would jump on the board first, scoring one run in the second inning, but that would be the only run they would manage. The Aigles went on to win 3-1.
Trois-Rivieres starter Alexander Burkard threw a gem in his win for the Aigles, going eight innings while allowing just one run and five hits. He managed to strike out six batters and walk three.
LF Jon Smith led the Aigles offensively going 3-4 with a homerun.
Fargo-Moorhead 12, New Jersey 0
The American Association got the best of the CanAm in the latest interleague match-up, with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks shutting out the New Jersey Jackals 12-0.
Starter Alex Caldera worked around four walks and four hits over six innings to prevent the Jackals from scoring. Mackenzie King and Pete Levitt combined for three innings of scoreless relief pitching to keep the shutout intact.
LF Mitch Einertson led the team at the plate going 3-5 with three RBIs. 3B Ronnie Bourquin also had a good night, going 2-3 with three runs and two RBIs.
