Quebec 3, Brockton 0
Quebec starting pitcher Matthew Rusch scattered four hits and struck out six over seven shutout innings to lead the Capitales to a 3-0 win over Brockton. With the win, Rusch ran his record to 4-0 on the season. Quebec RF Jared Lemieux led the way at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a solo home run. DH Marc Mimeault also had a good game offensively for the Capitales. He was 3-for-4. Quebec reliever Andrew Albers fanned two of the four batters he faced in the ninth to earn his third save.
Sussex 7, New Jersey 4
Sussex SS Chase Fontaine and DH Caleb Stewart each homered to power the Skyhawks offense past New Jersey in a 7-4 win. The duo each went 1-for-4 with a pair of RBI. LF Kraig Binick also had a good game offensively, going 2-for-5 with a double and three runs scored. Sussex starting pitcher Mike Vicaro allowed one run on three hits while striking out five in six innings to earn his second win in as many starts.
Pittsfield 7, Worcester 5
Pittsfield used a six-run seventh inning and held on late to upend Worcester, 7-5, on the road. Colonials starting pitcher Kyle Zaleski allowed one run on six hits while striking out three in six innings to earn the win and improve to 3-1 on the season. Pittsfield reliever Reymond Cruz allowed one run in the ninth, but held on for the save in his first appearance for the Colonials. LF Ryan Crespi, RF Stantrel Smith and 2B Mark Minicozzi all homered for Worcester in the losing effort.
