In the first game of a doubleheader it was all New Jersey as the Jackals tallied five runs on six hits in the opening frame to cruise to an 8-2 win. C Matt Lauderdale hit a three-run homer and RF Quinn Stewart added a two-run blast to pace the New Jersey offense. Starter Isaac Pavlik allowed two earned runs in six innings to get the win and even his record at 6-6.

Sussex 3, New Jersey 2 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

In the second game Sussex withstood a late rally to top New Jersey 3-2 and gain a split of the doubleheader. Leading 1-0, doubles by CF Jorge Moreno and RF Maikel Jova helped generate two runs in the top of the sixth inning for Sussex. But in the bottom of the seventh New Jersey 1B Myron Leslie hit a two-run homer to cut the lead to one. After the next batter singled, Sussex brought on closer Sandy Nin who got the final two batters on strikeouts to earn his 10th save.
