W: Brad Guy (3-2) L: Jarrad Lavergne (2-3) S: NONE

HR: NP-Glenn Murray (4)

Brockton starting pitcher Brad Guy pitched a fantastic game to upend the first place Nashua Pride. Guy scattered eight hits, allowed the Pride's lone run and did not walk a batter en route to a complete game win, his third victory of the season. The Rox managed just four hits in the game, but scored four runs anyway, all in the third inning. On the other hand, Nashua got eight hits, but just one run - a solo home run off the bat of DH Glenn Murray in the second. The loss for Nashua is the team's first of the second half and the victory for Brockton returns its record to .500, at 2-2.

New Haven County 3B Jeremy Terni was the offensive leader for the Cutters. He was 2-for-5 with a run scored and three runs batted in the losing effort.

W: Dennis Robinson (3-4) L: Adam Nikolic (2-1) S: Kevin Fitzgerald (11)

HR: NS-Chris Rowan (5)

Despite getting out-hit 11-6, North Shore was able to get just enough offense to manufacture a win by the narrowest of margins on the road against New Jersey. Both starting pitchers were outstanding through eight innings of work. Jackals starter Joel Bennett allowed just two runs, both earned, on just five hits and struck out eight. North Shore starter Bryan Morse also allowed just two earned runs, on six hits, and induced 11 groundball outs. Neither pitcher factored in the decision. Once the Spirit tacked on their third run in the extra frame, closer Kevin Fitzgerald worked his way through the tenth to pick up his 11th save of the year, the most in the Can-Am League.
