Quebec 8, Ottawa 4 - Box Score
Quebec scored four runs in the fourth inning to take a 5-4 lead and would go on from there to beat Ottawa by the final of 8-4. With the win, the Capitales took two of three in the series.
There were 15 hits collected by Quebec with five batters having multi-hit games. Capitales RF Jhalan Jackson led the way at the plate going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBIs. Quebec SS Yordan Manduley scored two runs and drove in one in a 3-for-5 night while 1B Zach Wilson had a double in four at-bats along with a pair of runs and an RBI.
Capitales starting pitcher Austin Chrismon allowed four earned runs over six innings of work and grabbed the victory. The righty allowed two walks and six hits to go along with five strikeouts. With the win, Chrismon improved his record to 3-1 on the year.
Third baseman Malik Collymore went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a run scored and two RBI in the loss for the Champions.
Trois-Rivieres 8, Sussex County 3 - Box Score
Third baseman Taylor Brennan's two-run home run in the bottom of the fifth inning gave Trois-Rivieres a 5-3 lead and they would go on from there to beat Sussex County by an 8-3 score. With the victory, the Aigles cut the Miners lead to three games in the race for first in the Can-Am League.
First baseman Juan Kelly led the way offensively for Trois-Rivieres going 1-for-1 with a home run, two walks, two runs scored and two RBIs. Aigles DH Alberth Martinez and LF David Glaude each scored a pair of runs in a 1-for-4 night while Brennan and SS Thomas Roulis both collected two RBIs.
Trois-Rivieres starting pitcher Domenic Mazza tossed six innings of work and notched the win. The southpaw gave up three earned runs on eight hits and struck out nine batters. Mazza improved his mark to 4-2 on the season with the victory.
For Sussex County in the loss, RF Mikey Reynolds had a 3-for-5 night with two doubles and a run scored.
Rockland at New Jersey (Cancelled - Rain)
The game between Rockland and New Jersey was cancelled due to rain.
The Boulders were leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning when play was stopped due to rain. The contest did not resume and since the two teams do not play again this season, the game will not be made up.
