New Jersey 9, Ottawa 5 - Box Score
New Jersey tallied seven runs in the seventh inning to erase a 5-0 deficit and would go on to defeat Ottawa by the final of 9-5. With the win, the Jackals completed the three-game sweep and have now won six straight.
There were nine hits collected by New Jersey with three batters having multi-hit games. Jackals CF David Harris led the way going 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs. New Jersey SS Santiago Chirino had two hits in five at-bats along with a run and an RBI while DH Richard Stock had a 2-for-4 day. Jackals RF Demetrius Moorer also helped the New Jersey offense by scoring two runs and driving in two.
New Jersey pitcher Matt Dallas tossed two scoreless innings of relief and earned his first victory with the team. Dallas gave up a walk and fanned three batters in the seven batters he faced.
Right fielder Liam Scafariello had a 2-for-4 game with a run scored and an RBI in the loss for the Champions.
Quebec 4, Rockland 3 - Box Score
Quebec scored two runs in each of the first two innings to grab a 4-0 lead and they would go on from there to take home a 4-3 win over Rockland. With the victory, the Capitales took two-of-three in the series.
Shortstop Brandon Fischer led the Quebec offense going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Capitales 2B Rylan Sandoval had a two-hit game with a run scored while C Josue Peley picked-up a pair of hits in four at-bats. First baseman TJ White also chipped a two-run home run in the first inning for Quebec.
Capitales starting pitcher Austin Chrismon allowed three earned runs over six innings of work to notch the victory. The righty allowed five hits and struck out five in the 85-pitch outing. With the victory, Chrismon is now 1-0 on the season.
For Rockland in the losing effort, 3B Richie Fecteau had a 2-for-4 day with a home run and two RBIs.
Sussex County 8, Trois-Rivieres 5 - Box Score
Sussex County scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to grab an 8-5 lead and would go on to beat Trois-Rivieres by that same score.
The Miners pounded out 15 hits in the contest with five batters picking-up at least two. Sussex County CF Kalian Sams went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI while 1B Audy Ciriaco and C Gavin Stupienski each had two-hit games with Ciriaco scoring a run and Stupienski driving in one. Designated hitter Mikey Reynolds and 3B Nate Coronado also helped the Miners offense by collecting three hits and plating a run.
Sussex County pitcher Jose Jose tossed 1 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to garner the victory. The southpaw struck out two in the four batters he faced. Jose is now 5-1 on the year.
For the Aigles, 2B David Glaude had a 2-for-4 game with a run scored.
