Trois-Rivieres 5, Rockland 2 (7 Innings/Game 1) - Box Score

Trois-Rivieres jumped out to a 4-1 lead after four innings of play and would go on from there to top Rockland in game one of a twinbill, 5-2.

The Aigles collected 11 hits in the contest with four batters in the lineup having multi-hit games. Trois-Rivieres 1B Juan Kelly led the way going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Aigles 2B David Glaude had three hits in four at-bats while RF Michael Suchy had a pair of hits and a run.

Trois-Rivieres starter Kevin McNorton allowed two earned runs over five innings of work to collect the victory. The University of Tampa product gave up no walks and five hits to go along with a strikeout. With the win, McNorton is now 5-3 on the year.

For Rockland in defeat, 2B Ryne Birk had a 1-for-3 night with two RBIs.

Rockland 9, Trois-Rivieres 1 (7 Innings/Game 2) - Box Score

It was all Rockland in game two of the doubleheader as the Boulders gained a split with a 9-1 victory over Trois-Rivieres.

Rockland pounded out 12 hits in the game and scored in every inning except the sixth. Boulders 2B Richie Fecteau was the leader offensively going 2-for-2 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs. Rockland SS Marcos Almonte collected two hits in three at-bats along with two runs while C Blake Grant-Parks had two doubles and a run batted in. In all, the Boulders had five batters with multi-hit games.

Nick Kennedy tossed 1 1/3 innings of relief and nabbed the victory for Rockland. Kennedy gave up a hit and struck out one in the five batters he faced.

First baseman Juan Kelly hit his second home run of the night in the loss for the Aigles.

Sussex County 4, Empire League Grays 1 (7 Innings/Game 1) - Box Score

Sussex County rolled out to a 4-0 lead through four innings of play and would coast from there to defeat the Empire League Grays in game one of a doubleheader, 4-1.

The Miners would score their first run of the contest in the first inning as 1B Audy Ciriaco singled home 2B Trey Hair from second base. Sussex County would increase their advantage to 3-0 in the third as CF Mikey Reynolds scored on a wild pitch and RF Noah Cummings crossed home plate on a sacrifice fly by LF Jose Brizuela. Sussex County's final run came in the fourth on an RBI single by C Yordany Salva. The All-Stars only run came in the sixth as DH Daniel Dominguez scored off an error by Cummings.

Ciriaco had a 2-for-3 night with an RBI while DH Nate Coronado had a pair of hits in three at-bats and a run.

Miners starting pitcher Tom Burns tossed six strong innings en route to his first win of the year. Burns gave up an unearned run on a hit and struck out six batters.

Sussex County 3, Empire League Grays 0 (7 Innings/Game 2) - Box Score

Sussex County completed the doubleheader sweep of the Empire League Grays as they beat the All-Star team in game two by a 3-0 score.

Miners starting pitcher Frank Duncan was terrific in his ninth start of the year as he tossed a one-hit complete game shutout. The righty struck out 11 in his 86-pitch performance and is now 4-2 on the year. Duncan has three complete games and two shutouts, both of which are tops in the Can-Am League.

Offensively for Sussex County, DH Trey Hair went 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI while 3B Nate Coronado chipped in a home run and a pair of runs scored. The Miners scored one run in the second inning and two more in the fifth.

For the Empire League Grays, 1B Mark Shkrelja picked up the only hit for the team with one out in the top of the seventh inning.

Quebec 10, New Jersey 5 - Box Score

With Quebec trailing 2-1 after five innings of play, the Capitales would rally and take command of the contest as they scored nine runs over the final four innings, including five in the ninth, to beat New Jersey, 10-5.

Quebec pounded out 14 hits in the contest with five batters having multi-hit outings. Capitales DH Jhalan Jackson led the way going 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. Quebec 1B Stayler Hernandez had two hits in four at-bats along with a pair of runs and an RBI while RF Rian Kiniry plated two runs and drove in one in a 2-for-3 night. In all, the Capitales had eight batters in their lineup that collected at least one hit.

Max Kuhns threw an inning of scoreless relief and notched his first win of the season with Quebec. Kuhns gave up a hit and struck out one in the four batters he faced.

For New Jersey, 1B Isaac Wenrich went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish with a home run, two runs scored and an RBI.

Ottawa 6, Shikoku Island 3 - Box Score

Ottawa scored three runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-2 lead and that proved to be the difference in the game as they defeated Shikoku Island by the final of 6-3.

After Shikoku Island jumped out on top 1-0 in the second inning, the Champions would grab a 3-1 advantage as they scored a run in the third on a balk by All-Star starter Fukuda Yuji and two more in the fourth on a two-run single by SS Malik Collymore. Shikoku Island would cut the deficit to 3-2 in the fifth on a CF Kishi Junichiro groundout. This is as close as they would get as Ottawa plated the three runs in the sixth to take full control and win going away.

Collymore went 1-for-3 with two walks and two RBIs while 1B Leonardo Reginatto had a two-hit night and scored two runs.

Champions starting pitcher Phillippe Aumont threw seven strong innings in earning his fifth win of the season. Aumont allowed two earned runs on six hits and fanned nine batters.
