Quebec 6, Ottawa 4

Quebec scored four runs in the sixth inning to overcome a 4-2 deficit and defeat Ottawa by the score of 6-4. With the win, the Capitales took 3-of-4 in the series.

The Capitales had 10 hits as team and was led by TJ White who went 3-for-4 with a double, two home runs and five RBIs. White's second homer of the night came in the big four-run sixth when he blasted a three-run shot to give Quebec the lead for good. Maxx Tissenbaum also chipped in a 1-for-3 night with two runs scored while Kalian Sams collected a pair hits in four at-bats and scored a run.

Capitales starting pitcher Jay Johnson allowed four earned runs over seven innings of work and picked-up his seventh victory. Johnson allowed nine hits while striking out five in a 102-pitch performance.

For Ottawa, Steve Brown had a 2-for-4 game with a home run and two RBIs.

Sussex County 4, Rockland 2

Starting pitcher Michael Wagner tossed eight strong innings in leading Sussex County to a 4-2 victory over Rockland.

Wagner's performance was solid as he gave up an earned run on seven hits and struck out seven in a 127-pitch (85 for strikes) outing. With the win, the righty improved his mark to 3-3 on the season.

Offensively for the Miners, Mikey Reynolds led the way going 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs. Jarred Mederos had a run scored in a 1-for-3 night while Breland Almadova and Jared McDonald eachdrew a walk and plated a run. Sussex County scored all four of their runs in the sixth inning.

Marcus Nidiffer had a 3-for-4 outing in the loss for the Boulders.

Trois-Rivieres 2, New Jersey 1

Taylor Brennan launched a two-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to help Trois-Rivieres erase a 1-0 deficit and beat New Jersey, 2-1.

Brennan had two of the Aigles three hits along with a run scored and two RBIs while Javier Herrera scored a run in a 1-for-3 night. Trois-Rivieres did not collect their first hit until Brennan led off the seventh inning with a single.

Aigles starting pitcher Kevin McNorton threw eight terrific innings in earning the victory. McNorton allowed an earned run on three hits and struck out five batters. With the win, the righty is now 7-3 on the year.

For the Jackals in the losing effort, Jordan Hinshaw went 1-for-4 with a double and a run scored.
