Rockland 4, Sussex County 3 (Game 2 - 7 Innings)

In game two of the twinbill, DH Conrad Gregor hit a solo home run in the fifth inning to give Rockland the lead for good as the Boulders edged past Sussex County, 4-3.

Rockland jumped out on top 2-0 in the first inning as RF Conor Bierfeldt launched a two-run home run. The Miners came right back in the second to tie the contest at 2-2 on back-to-back sacrifice flies from CF Jayce Ray and LF Connor Crane. Each team scored a run in the third to make it 3-3 before Rockland took the lead outright in the fifth on Gregor's blast.

Bierfeldt went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and three RBIs while leadoff hitter JC Rodriguez walked twice and scored a run.

Boulders starting pitcher Brad Schaenzer tossed five innings and picked-up his first victory of the season. Schaenzer gave up three earned runs on four hits and walked a batter.

For Sussex County in the losing effort, 1B Audy Ciriaco went 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Ottawa 8, Quebec 1 (6 Innings)

Ottawa jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings of play and would cruise from there to an 8-1 win over Quebec in a game shortened to 5 ½ innings due to rain.

The Champions pounded out 12 hits in the contest with every batter in the lineup collecting at least one. Ottawa DH Sebastien Boucher went 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI while CF Chase Harris added a hit in three at-bats and scored a pair of runs. Left fielder Coco Johnson also chipped in his fifth home run of the season for Ottawa.

Champions starting pitcher Austin Chrismon tossed five strong innings and notched his fifth victory of the year. Chrismon allowed an earned run on four hits and struck out six batters.

For the Capitales, 1B TJ White went a perfect 2-for-2 with an RBI.

New Jersey at Trois-Rivieres (Postponed - Rain)

The game between New Jersey and Trois-Rivieres was postponed due to rain. It will be made up in New Jersey as part of a doubleheader.
