Sussex County 2, Salina 1 - Box Score
The Miners completed a three-game sweep of the Stockade by edging their visitors in a 2-1 pitchers' duel. LHP David Rollins struck out seven over the course of seven strong innings for the Miners, scattering four hits and allowing just one run in the process. RHP El'Hajj Muhammad worked a scoreless eighth, and LHP Alex Demchak finished the job in the ninth for the save.
Offensively, C Luis Alen hit a sacrifice fly in the second inning to tie the game at 1-1, and SS Jarred Mederos hit the game-winning RBI double in the sixth inning.
Salina 2B Steven Longo had two hits in the loss.
Rockland 12, New Jersey 3 - Box Score
The Boulders pounded out 12 runs on 13 hits to snap a losing streak and beat the rival Jackals 12-3. LF Kevin Krause and 1B Mikael Mogues hit back-to-back home runs to start of the top of the fifth inning for Rockland, and 2B Cody Regis hit a three-run homer later in the frame. RF Conor Bierfeldt finished the game with a team-high three hits for the Boulders, and three other players had two hits for Rockland.
Boulders LHP Garrett Johnson struck out seven over seven innings to earn the win for Rockland.
Jackals 1B Dean Green finished the game with two hits and two RBI.
Quebec 5, Trois-Rivieres 4 - Box Score
The Capitales scored five times in the home half of the second inning and held off Trois-Rivieres to win 5-4 at Stade Canac. 3B Brad Antchak opened the scoring in the frame with a three-run home run, his third long ball of the season. Later in the inning, CF Jordan Serena hit a sacrifice fly, and the ensuing hitter, SS Yordan Manduley, connected on an RBI single.
Manduley finished the game with a team-high three hits. 2B TJ White also had two hits in the win. RHP Karl Gelinas struck out four and allowed just two earned runs over his seven innings to pick up the win. LHP Nolan Becker struck out two in a clean ninth inning for the save.
DH Taylor Brennan drove in two runs for the Aigles in the club's loss.
Ottawa 7, Hollywood 0 - Box Score
Champions RHPs Evan Rutckyj and Miles Sheehan combined on a five-hit shutout of the Stars to complete a series sweep at RCGT Park with a 7-0 win. Rutckyj worked around three hits and two walks over six innings, striking out seven over six innings to earn the win, and Sheehan garnered a three-inning save by striking out three in his scoreless frames.
At the plate, Ottawa was ahead 1-0 at the seventh inning stretch, but plated six runs in the home half of the seventh inning. 2B Steve Nyisztor hit a two-RBI single as part of the rally, and 3B Jordan Caillouet also drove in two runs on a two-RBI double later in the inning. DH Sebastien Boucher had a team-best three hits on the night.
Hollywood 3B Brian Luebcke raised his average to .341 with a hit in the game.
