Rockland 8, New Jersey 6

Rockland broke a 2-2 tie with three runs in the fifth inning as the Boulders outlasted New Jersey by an 8-6 score. The Boulders added a pair of insurance runs in the sixth inning and one more in the eighth to withstand a late Jackals rally. Rockland collected 13 hits as a team and was led by RF Conor Bierfeldt who went a perfect 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and three RBI. Boulders leadoff hitter JC Rodriguez added three hits in five at-bats while C Kevin Krause chipped in a home run and two RBI in a 2-for-4 game.

Travis Hissong threw six solid innings in notching his second win of the season with Rockland. Hissong gave up two earned runs on six hits and struck out six batters.

For New Jersey in the losing effort, CF David Harris went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI.

Sussex County 7, Ottawa 3

Sussex County completed the three-game sweep of Ottawa as they downed the Champions by the score of 7-3. The Miners had 12 hits in the contest with eight of nine batters collecting at least one. Sussex County 1B Audy Ciriaco went 3-for-4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBI while CF Jayce Ray and 3B Martin Figueroa each had two-hit games and an RBI. The Miners tallied two runs in the second, one in the fifth and broke it open with four in the sixth.

Starting pitcher Gianni Zayas tossed six innings and collected his first win with Sussex County. Zayas allowed one unearned run on six hits with four strikeouts.

Ottawa 3B Jordan Caillouet went 1-for-2 with two runs scored in the loss.

Quebec 5, Trois-Rivieres 1

Quebec starting pitcher Arik Sikula tossed seven strong innings in leading the Capitales to a 5-1 victory over Trois-Rivieres. Sikula allowed one earned run on four hits and struck out six in a 104-pitch outing. The 29-year-old is now 3-1 on the season and has given up only four walks in 24 2/3 innings pitched.

Offensively for Quebec, LF James McOwen went 2-for-3 with a run scored while 2B Yordan Manduley had a hit in four at-bats and drove in two runs. The Capitales scored a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth innings and one more in the seventh.

For the Aigles, LF Javier Herrera hit a solo home run in the fourth inning.
