Newark 11, Kansas City 4

Newark used a six-run fourth inning to propel them to an 11-4 win over the Kansas City T-Bones of the American Association. Three Newark batters collected two hits apiece, including RF Ryde Rodriguez who went 2-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Bears 2B Tucker Nathans chipped in with a 1-for-3 night with two runs scored and three RBI. Newark starting pitcher Pedro Rivera notched the win as he allowed three earned runs on six hits in seven innings pitched. The victory by Rivera was his third of the season.

Rockland 7, Quebec 4

The Rockland Boulders rolled out to a 6-0 lead after two innings and would cruise to a 7-4 victory over the Quebec Capitales. Rockland 2B Ryan Mollica went 3-for-4 with a double and a RBI and 3B Brandon Pinckney had a 2-for-5 night with two runs scored and two runs driven in. Boulders DH Billy Alvino also collected two hits and drove in three runs. Rockland starting pitcher Will Hassett picked up his second win as he tossed 6 2/3 innings giving up an earned run on four hits with five strikeouts. For Quebec in the loss, SS Jeff Helps and 3B Jonathan Malo each had two hits.

Worcester 5, New Jersey 4

Third baseman Cam Kneeland launched a grand slam in the top of the sixth inning to help the Worcester Tornadoes overcome a 4-1 deficit and beat the New Jersey Jackals by the score of 5-4. Worcester DH/RF Michael Gedman and 1B Alex Nunez each had two hits in the game and scored a run. Tornadoes starter Dan Sausville allowed two earned runs on six hits in eight innings pitched to pick up the win. It was Sausville's fourth victory of the season. In defeat for New Jersey, 1B Francisco Caraballo hit his 13th home run of the season in the second inning.
