Worcester 5, Quebec 3
2B Brandon Pinckney's solo home run in the seventh inning broke a 3-3 tie and helped Worcester to a 5-3 win over the Quebec Capitales. Pinckney finished the game 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBI. Tornadoes 3B Johnny Welch also added a home run in a 1-for-3 night and scored two runs. Worcester reliever Michael Gedman notched the victory as he allowed an earned run in an inning of work. DH Paul Karmas went 2-for-3 with a home run in the loss for Quebec.
New Jersey 5, Wichita 1
The New Jersey Jackals scored two runs in the first inning and another run in the second inning to take an early 3-0 lead and would cruise from there to a 5-1 win over the Wichita Wingnuts. Jackals DH Francisco Carabello went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI while INF Gaetano Giunta and SS Angel Berroa collected two hits apiece. New Jersey starter Kyle Greenwalt tossed a solid game en route to his first win of the season. Greenwalt went 5 1/3 innings allowing an earned run on three hits with seven strikeouts. For Wichita in defeat, 3B Jared McDonald hit a solo home run.
