Can-Am League Game Recap
June 13, 2012 - Canadian American League (Can-Am) News Release
Quebec 7, Worcester 4
The Capitales and Tornadoes went tit for tat in the early innings Wednesday night, trading the lead twice before their hurlers settled in. But after a couple scoreless frames, Quebec rallied with two outs in the seventh, hitting three consecutive doubles followed by a single to take a 7-3 lead. The Capitales won, 7-4.
The two-baggers came from CF Sebastien Boucher, 1B Rene Leveret and LF Josue Peley, who combined to go 5-for-12 with three runs and three RBI. Each of the trio scored once and batted in a run, with Leveret's 2-for-3 night being the most efficient.
Tornadoes 1B Nick Salotti turned a 2-0 second-inning deficit into a 3-2 lead, hitting his fourth home run of the year - a three-run blast. Worcester's only other run came on an eighth-inning solo shot off the bat of C Alex Trezza.
