Nashua 7, North Shore 3 (Nashua leads series 1-0) @ Nashua, NH. Time: 2:56 Attendance: 1,507 W: Akira Okamoto (2-0) L: Ryan Bicondoa (1-1) S: NONE HR: NA-Olmo Rosario (1) The Nashua Pride got off to a quick start Wednesday night by plating three runs in the first inning en route to their 7-3 victory over the North Shore Spirit. Pride take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five championship series. Akira Okamoto had another terrific start for the Pride as he pitched 7 2/3 innings allowing three earned runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Okamoto moved his record to 2-0 on the postseason. C Luis Rodriguez led the way offensively for Nashua as he went 2-for-4 including a big triple that scored the three runs in the first inning. SS Olmo Rosario also chipped in a 1-for-4 night with a solo home run in the fifth inning. For the Spirit, leadoff hitter BJ Weed went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a RBI. Game two is scheduled for tomorrow night at 7:05 PM back in Nashua.
