Campbell Adds Versatility To Bucs D-Line

LAKE CHARLES LA. ‚¬" Swashbucklers Head Coach Darnell Lee added Kevin Campbell to strengthen the Bucs' "Monster Defense". Campbell at 6'3" and 275 lbs. played his college ball at Troy University and turned pro in 2002 when he joined the Alabama Renegades. Campbell later played for the Montgomery Maulers, the Montgomery Bears, and most recently helped the Albany Panthers earn their Division title in 2010.

Campbell was named a second team All Sun-Belt Conference player at Troy University. "Kevin is a very versatile player who will bring experience and depth to our team in literally every aspect of the game", said Coach Lee.

Last season Campbell averaged two sacks per game and scored five touchdowns, which helped the Panthers earn their way into the playoffs.

Coach Lee reminded players who aspire to join the Swashbucklers that tryouts are scheduled tomorrow Saturday, December 11th, in Cowboy Stadium at McNeese State University. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a non-refundable fee of $40. Athletes are asked to bring their own gear.
