CASPER, Wyo. â Two touchdown passes by Wyoming quarterback Matt Strand and a pair of rushing scores by Jegil Dugger was too much for Kissimmee as the Calvary charged for 31 second-quarter points and went on to a 52-32 victory over the visiting Kreatures Friday night in a National Indoor Football League game.
Kissimmee (2-5) took a 14-7 first-quarter lead on a 23-yard touchdown pass to James Panui by quarterback Rob Harding, who scored again on a 1-yard run in the first.
But the Calvary (4-1) sounded the bugle and an incredible 61-yard field goal by Pete Garces started the second-period scoring attack.
Dugger had runs of 1 and 2 yards and Strand connected with Chris Coleman for 29 and two yards to give Wyoming a 38-26 halftime lead.
Kissimmee managed only six second-half points. Harding's one-yard run was the only score.
Harding, returning from cracked rips after Brock Jones filled in the last two games, was 11 of 22 passing
Panui, whose heroics defeated a tough Miami Morays team two weeks ago in Kissimmee, had only the one reception. His only extra point kick failed and he attempted a two-point conversion pass that was intercepted .
The Kreatures running game was split between with Curry getting 17 carries for 52 yards and Brandon Walker getting 27 yards on 12 rushes. Each had a touchdown.
Dugger was dominating with 98 yards on 20 carries and three touchdowns.
