Tampa Bay Vipers News Release
PLANT CITY, Fla. - Tampa Bay Vipers wide receiver Antonio Callaway was placed on injured reserve Thursday after sustaining a lower leg injury during Wednesday's practice.
The 23-year-old Callaway -- who previously played for the Cleveland Browns and Florida Gators -- had been claimed off waivers on Jan. 15.
"Antonio came here focused, working hard to make the team," head coach Marc Trestman said. "He did everything that we asked him to. He was engaging with the players and came here to work and get himself ready to play. We were excited to have him with us."
