Callahan Hits Two Slams in 4-3 Loss

The Thunder (10-11) got two home runs, including a two-run shot, from first baseman Tonya Callahan Wednesday night, but could not get any more production, falling 4-3 to the Philadelphia Force (15-6).

Allison Kime (4-3) pitched a complete game for Rockford, giving up just seven hits and three earned runs in the losing effort. Megan Gibson (5-0) furthered her league lead in wins among undefeated pitchers, striking out three over seven innings, and hit a home run for the Force offense.

Outfielder Kristen Zaleski moved back into second place in the league in stolen bases, with her eighth of the season. She went around to score on Callahan's second home run.

The teams will match up again Thursday night at 6:05 pm Central time in Allentown. Fans can view he game's live stats at the Force website for free, or purchase live video for the game.
