Buzz spoil Fury season opener 100-91

December 13, 2008 - American Basketball Association (ABA) - Maywood Buzz News Release

Phoenix, AZ - Former NBA All-Star Cedric Ceballos made his 2008-2009 Maywood Buzz regular season debut and made it in style. Ceballos who started his NBA Career in Phoenix with the Suns and still work with them today at times looked like the Cedric of Los Angeles Laker days. "We had this date circled on the calendar as the day we knew that Cedric would be joining the team. We thought we would have been 5-0 going into the game, but with the missed game with the now defunked SD Wildcats and the rescheduled game in Arizona we settled for 3-0" said Buzz Head Coach Burrel Lee III.

The #2 ranked Buzz was lead by Cedric Ceballos (23pts, 13rebs and 2blks), Wesley Stokes (21pts, 11ast and 2 stls), Isaac Burton (15pts and 3 stls), Joey Saavedra (12pts and 3stls) and Ken Wright (8pts and 7ast). Also Rookie Guard Keion Kindred had his 2nd game in the row with at least 10 or more rebounds.

The Buzz will travel back to Los Angeles in the morning and play the Los Angeles Push (1-0) at 6:30pm at Cal State Dominguez Hills, located in Carson, CA next to the Home Depot Center.
